Privacy policy
Who we are. Eosper is made by Logisight (contact: privacy@eosper.com).
Short version. Eosper works on your iPhone. There's no Eosper account, no ads and no tracking. Your data stays on the phone, except for what's needed for the features you use: Eosper's voices are made by OpenAI, the AI features in Plus are written by Claude by Anthropic, and a few internet services provide weather, news and markets. Our server passes these requests on and doesn't keep their content. Optional Google sign-in is read-only.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your first name, wake-up times, voice choices, routines, tasks, evening answers, priorities and your Ask Eosper question.
- Usage counts shown under Settings → Your stats.
- The voice recordings Eosper has made for you, and the latest AI answers.
- A random id made when you install the app (see "Eosper's server" below).
This data is stored in the app's private storage and is included in your iPhone backup if you use one. Delete the app to delete it.
Microphone and speech
Eosper listens only while a voice step is on screen (the "I'm up" check, a routine, or the evening questions). Apple's speech recognition turns your words into text, on the device where your iPhone supports it. Eosper doesn't keep audio recordings and doesn't send them to us.
Calendar and Reminders
With your permission Eosper reads your calendars on the phone to build the briefing, the wake-up message, birthdays and plan suggestions. It adds events only after you confirm each one, marks them as created by Eosper, and only ever changes or removes events it created. If you add the Tasks step and allow Reminders, Eosper reads the reminders due today and never changes them. Event titles and times, and task names, leave your iPhone only for the AI features and voices described below.
Google sign-in and Google Calendar (optional)
If you sign in with Google, Eosper asks Google for your email address and read-only access to your calendar. It reads your calendar events for the next few days and never changes anything. Eosper doesn't read your Gmail. This is stored only on your iPhone, and the sign-in token is kept in the iPhone Keychain. Google events are used like your other calendar events, including in the AI features below; they're never used to train AI models or for advertising. You can disconnect in Settings, which also asks Google to cancel the access. Eosper's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Microsoft sign-in: Outlook Calendar, mail and To Do (optional)
If you sign in with Microsoft, Eosper asks Microsoft for your name and email address (to show which account is connected) and read-only access to your Outlook calendar, mail and Microsoft To Do. It reads your calendar events for the next few days, the sender, subject and a short preview of the last two days of your inbox (never the full message), and your To Do tasks due today. It never changes or sends anything. This is stored only on your iPhone, and the sign-in token is kept in the iPhone Keychain. Outlook events, email and tasks are used like your other calendar events and tasks, including in the AI features below; they're never used to train AI models or for advertising. You can disconnect in Settings, which removes the sign-in from your iPhone; to also remove Eosper's access on Microsoft's side, open your Microsoft account's privacy settings, "Apps and services".
Todoist (optional)
If you connect Todoist, you paste your Todoist API token into Eosper. It is kept in the iPhone Keychain and used only to read your tasks due today or overdue, which are read aloud in the Tasks step of your routine. Eosper never adds, changes or completes tasks. With Plus, the task titles are sent to Claude together with the rest of your day summary; Eosper's server keeps none of it. You can disconnect in Settings, which deletes the token from your iPhone; you can also reset the token in Todoist.
Apple Health (optional)
If you add the Sleep and health step, Eosper asks Apple Health for read-only access to sleep, resting heart rate and steps. When the step runs, it reads last night's sleep, your latest resting heart rate and yesterday's steps, and turns them into one short sentence on screen. Eosper never writes to Health and doesn't save these values. With Plus that sentence is read aloud, so its text goes through our server to OpenAI to make the voice (see "AI voices"), and isn't stored. Health data is never sent to Anthropic, never used for advertising and never sold.
Apple Home (optional)
If you turn on Smart home lights, Eosper asks for access to your Home to list your lights and scenes. It turns on the lights or scene you picked when you tap "I'm up", and saves an "Eosper bedtime" automation in your Home that turns them off at the time you set. Your Home data stays on your devices; it isn't sent to us or anyone else.
Location
If you allow it, Eosper uses your location while the app is in use, rounded to about 1 km. It's used for the weather when you haven't typed a city (sent to Open-Meteo) and for the Commute step (Apple Maps receives it with the place you set, to work out the travel time). The last rounded location is kept on your iPhone. It isn't sent to us.
AI voices
Eosper's voices are made by OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini-tts), for everyone, through Eosper's server: the app sends the text to be spoken, the server asks OpenAI for the audio and sends it back, and the recording is saved on your iPhone.
- Lines that are the same for everyone, like the wake-up lines without a name and fixed phrases such as "When you're ready, say: I'm up", are recorded once. That recording is kept on our server and given to every phone. It contains nothing about you. Without Plus, these are the only voices Eosper uses.
- With Plus, everything else is sent as text and not stored by us: routine lines you wrote yourself, the wake-up lines with your first name, tomorrow's personal wake-up line (which mentions your day from your calendar), and what Eosper reads aloud: your day summary, the news, and the Tasks, Commute, Birthdays, Markets, Sleep and health and Ask Eosper steps.
OpenAI processes these requests under its API terms and doesn't use them to train models. If a voice can't be made, the alarm plays a standard sound and the text is shown on screen.
AI features (Plus)
With Plus, Eosper sends the facts needed for each feature to Eosper's server, which passes them to Claude by Anthropic to write the text and sends the result back:
- Your day: your first name, the weather, today's events (title and time), tasks, priorities and news headlines.
- News: the titles and short summaries of stories from your feeds.
- Plan: your tasks and their minutes, events and priorities.
- Evening: your evening answers, or today's events and done and open tasks for the look back at the day.
- Wake-up line: your first name, the voice you picked, tomorrow's events and your top priority.
- Ask Eosper: your own question and today's date. Claude may search the web to answer it; the search is made by Anthropic, not from your phone, and includes nothing else about you.
- Describe it (New routine): what you write or say about the routine you want. You see the routine before anything is saved.
Eosper's server doesn't store this content. Anthropic processes the request under its commercial terms and doesn't use it to train models.
Eosper's server
Eosper's server runs on Cloudflare. Every request from the app includes a random id made when you install Eosper (it isn't linked to your name, Apple ID or phone) and your app language, such as "es", so AI answers and voices come in your language. The server keeps only:
- Daily counters per random id, to apply daily limits. They're deleted after two days.
- A usage log, one line per request: the time, the random id, the feature (for example "briefing" or the voice name), whether it worked, how many AI tokens and characters it used, and how long it took. It contains no text, questions, answers, audio, names or IP addresses. We use it on a private admin page to watch costs and limits. Lines older than about 13 months are deleted automatically.
- A short "opened today" note, once a day: the date, the random id, the app version and whether Plus is on. We use it to count how many phones use Eosper and how many are new. Deleted after about 13 months.
- Subscription messages from Apple (App Store Server Notifications): when a subscription or free trial starts, renews, is cancelled, refunded or ends, Apple tells the server the product, price, dates and Apple's transaction number. They contain no name, Apple ID or email. We use them to count subscribers.
- The shared recordings described under "AI voices".
Internet services
- Weather: Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) receives the city name you type and, after that, its coordinates. If you allow location instead, it receives your location rounded to about 1 km. No other data.
- News: stories are downloaded from the news feeds you picked (for example BBC News, NPR, The Guardian, or a feed you added). Nothing about you is sent.
- Markets: Yahoo Finance receives the market symbols you picked (for example ^GSPC or AAPL). Nothing else.
- Podcasts: Apple's podcast directory receives the words you search for; the newest episode is downloaded from the show's own feed.
- Commute: Apple Maps, as described under "Location".
These services see your IP address, like any website.
Music
If you choose Apple Music, Eosper asks for access to your music library to list your playlists and play the one you picked through the Music app. If you choose Spotify, Eosper only opens the link you pasted in the Spotify app. Nothing about your music is sent to us.
Notifications and alarms
Alarms and bedtime reminders are scheduled on your iPhone by iOS.
Children
Eosper isn't directed at children under 13.
Purchases
Eosper Plus is bought and managed through your Apple ID. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or Apple ID details. With AI requests, the app sends Apple's signed proof of your subscription (the product, dates and transaction ids, no name or Apple ID) so our server can confirm you have Plus. It isn't stored.
Your rights (GDPR and US state laws)
Eosper keeps your personal data on your iPhone, where you can see, change or delete it at any time (delete the app to remove everything). For AI features and voices our server passes content to Anthropic or OpenAI and keeps none of it; it keeps only the usage records described above, which hold no content and nothing that tells us who you are. So there is no stored personal data for us to hand over or delete. Questions: privacy@eosper.com.
Changes
If we change what Eosper sends off your iPhone, we'll update this policy first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
